Bell & Spurling

“Bell & Spurling” are Martin Bell and Johnny Spurling. They’re best known for the hit football anthem “Sven Sven Sven” and follow up single “Goldenballs” that went on to sell over 500,000 singles. The duo appeared on over 20 major TV shows, including 2 appearances on Top of the Pops.

The duo also come to Love Sport with extensive radio experience: they started a pre-football Saturday show on Capital Gold and were regulars on the Hawksby and Jacobs show on TalkSport radio.

They became regular singers for celebrity parties including the likes of Simon Cowell and Rod Stewart, and have written and performed with many acts including Rick Astley, Tony Hadley and The Ting Tings. Both men continue to gig all over the world with an All Star Band.

Arguably Bell & Spurling’s most famous performance came at Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Coronation Festival. More recently they rewrote the ‘Sven Song’ as “Gareth Gareth Gareth” for the 2018 World Cup.

England’s run to the semi-final meant that the duo gained notoriety once again with football fans with their football viral videos. The live gigs featured themselves with Fat Les (Vindaloo), plus football stars John Terry, Jack Wilshere, Geoff Hurst, Razor Ruddock and even Sven himself!

The talented duo are now back in mainstream media with Love Sport Radio, and doing what they do best… Creating and entertaining!
