Transfer gossip is back, listing and assessing all the biggest rumours from the Premier League so that you don’t have to.
Pogba to quit Manchester United for PSG
Paul Pogba is already a hero in France after helping them to World Cup victory over the summer, but now it appears he could head back to his home country for good.
The 26-year-old continues to find himself at odds with manager Jose Mourinho and The Sun claim Paris Saint-Germain have expressed an interest in offering him a way out.
The news comes on the same day that Barcelona announced disappointing financial results for 2017/18, suggesting they might not be able to make a mooted big-money move for Pogba.
Love Sport verdict: In one of the great footballing power struggles, something must eventually give at Manchester United. At this point, a Jose Mourinho exit looks more likely and a rumour linking Pogba to PSG looks more like putting two and two together than anything else.
Jose Mourinho sack could already have come - Scholes
Manchester United failed to beat a floundering Valencia side last night, drawing 0-0 at Old Trafford with the Spaniards and being booed by their own fans.
But Jose Mourinho remains in post - for the moment - even if United legend and BT Sport pundit Paul Scholes was surprised not to see him dismissed after Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to West Ham.
"I'm surprised that he survived after Saturday"

Former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is the bookies’ favourite to replace him but his ex-France team-mate Christophe Dugarry has poured cold water on those rumours, confidently asserting that "Zizou" would not go to United.
Love Sport verdict: Scholes has a point. With everything that has gone on and the abject performance against West Ham, maybe that would have been an easy point to get rid of Mourinho. And Zidane really is the best option out there, whatever Dugarry says.
Welbeck to join Ramsey on out list
Danny Welbeck looks set to join Aaron Ramsey on the Arsenal scrap heap next summer with no new contract agreed for the 2018/19 season.
The two men are both in the prime of their careers but The Mirror reckon each will be available on free transfer - if they are not sold in January.
No direct replacement for Welbeck, often a fringe player at Arsenal, has been lined up but SportMediaSet report that Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski, once a Liverpool target, is being eyed by Unai Emery.
Love Sport verdict: It’s hard to justify a new contract for Danny Welbeck when Arsenal’s forward line are in such rich form. In midfield meanwhile, signing Zielinski would be another effort to bring in a strong, creative, driving force - isn’t that why they got Lucas Torreira though?
Chelsea defender double
Chelsea are preparing to offer David Luiz a one-year contract extension to his current deal which expires in the summer of 2020, according to the Evening Standard.
And they could secure themselves another centre-back, a longer term option in the form of Daniele Rugani, whose contract talks with Juventus have broken down.
Italian outlet Calcio Mercate claim the 24-year-old has been unsettled by Chelsea’s interest and could be unwilling to agree a new deal in Italy.
Love Sport verdict: Chelsea might be a one-man team going forward but their defence is just as reliant on a limited number of key figures. Getting Luiz in the short-term and Rugani in the long will be crucial if Sarri is to build an era-defining team at Chelsea.
