Former Palace defender Jim Cannon thinks the South London club don’t have enough quality players to break into the top half of the Premier League.
These are tough times for the Eagles who are without a win in 2020 and hold the unwanted record of the worst goalscorers in the League.
Roy Hodgson’s side have the worst form in the league picking up three points out of a possible 18 having lost away to Everton last weekend.
The defeat leaves them just six points above the relegation zone and concerns are mounting that if this form continues, it could spell the end of their six year stint in the topflight.

With pressure mounting on Hodgson, Palace legend Cannon - who made over 500 appearances for the Eagles - believes that the squad at his disposal is not good enough to move up the table.
Speaking to Charlie Hawkins and Miles Blumsom on the Late Night Fans Show, 10-11PM every Wednesday, the Glaswegian claimed the best Palace could do is stay in the lower half of the table.

“What we’ve got is a team that hopefully will, come the last few games of the season, be 14th or 15th in the league again like we have done over the last couple of years but this team won’t push on.
“We need an influx of better players if we are going to push on into the top half, maybe 9th, 8th, 7th in the league.
“I don’t think we’ve got enough quality at the moment to do that and the January transfer window showed up what we are; maybe it’s a case of just trying to stay in the league this year and build up next year, who knows?”
