Manchester United fan Maddison should come home, says former United star

Andy Ritchie is backing the Leicester Ace for a move to Old Trafford

James Maddison is a man in high demand. The Leicester City star has it all: a silky touch, an eye for a pass - and he's lethal from dead ball situations, too.

With all that in mind, it's no surprise that the biggest clubs in the land are being linked with making a move to sign him. Manchester United seem to be at the front of the queue and, speaking to Love Sport Radio, former United man Andy Ritchie revealed that his former club could have an ace in the hole.

"I think James Maddison is a Manchester United fan and that could just be the deciding factor - but I'm not sure we'll see it in January".

"Why would you leave Leicester in January? Listen, they're flying, aren't they? He's enjoying himself, he's playing well - we're more likely to see this transfer happen in the summer than in January."
